Song Activity

I was asked to prepare a song activity for a few groups using a song that was recent and they would know. I used David Guetts ft. Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over as it is being played in all the clubs in Spain and uses the past simple and some new vocabulary for the students.

For the 3Eso optional class I was asked to prepare something on inspirational women in the UK or english-speaking. I did this presentation about Mairead Corrigan and Betty Williams, two women who helped bring the Troubles in Northern Ireland to a near close.

Human Rights and Laws in Northern Ireland

In the 3Eso Optional class, the students were studying human rights and how it affected them. This presentation includes many videos to allow them to see examples of the human rights in action. I also included many laws that are different than those in Spain, e.g. the TV licence and the fireworks ban as these interested the pupils the most.

Education System in the UK and Northern Ireland

The 2nd Bachillerat classes were doing a module on education so I prepared two presentations to show them what the education was like in the UK and specifcally in Northern Ireland as there are many differences.

In the first class I gave showed them a presentation on the Primary Education, and a week later in the second class I talked about Northern Ireland secondary schools, uniforms, exams and University choices.

These topics were featured on their exam.
